Monthly giveaway: terms

Every month, Tomobuild gives five local businesses a free year of Tomobuild Pro. Winners are chosen from nominations, on merit. It is not a lottery or a random draw, and nobody has to buy or pay anything to nominate a business or to win.

Who runs it

The giveaway is run by Tomomind, the business behind Tomobuild. Questions go to hello@tomobuild.com.

How to nominate a business

• Comment on that month's giveaway post on an official Tomobuild account (Instagram, LinkedIn, or another account named in the post) with the business's name, its city, and one line on why it deserves a website.
• Anyone aged 18 or over can nominate. Owners can nominate their own business.
• You can nominate as many businesses as you like. Several people nominating the same business is welcome, but the number of nominations does not decide who wins.

Which businesses can win

• The business has a public Google Maps listing with a phone number on it.
• It is an independent local business, not a chain or franchise with many branches, and not a government body.
• It is not already paying for Tomobuild Pro.
• It is not owned by anyone who works for Tomomind, including its interns, or by their immediate family.
• It is in a country where taking part is allowed by law. The giveaway is void where prohibited, and businesses in countries under international sanctions cannot win.

We may pass over a business that would not be suitable to feature publicly, or a nomination that is abusive or misleading.

Dates

Each round opens when that month's giveaway post is published and closes on the date stated in the post. The first round opens on 30 October 2026 and closes at 23:59 India time on 6 November 2026. Winners are chosen within seven days of a round closing.

How winners are chosen

The Tomobuild team picks up to five winners each round, judging every eligible nomination on three things:

• The story in the nomination: why this business deserves a website.
• Strong Google reviews and no website of its own.
• Reaching a city or country we have not covered yet.

Our decision is final. If there are not enough eligible nominations, we may pick fewer than five.

The prize

• Twelve months of Tomobuild Pro for the winning business's site, worth US$60 (₹1,990 in India). Pro means the business can use its own domain, edit its site and add its own photos, with no Tomobuild badge.
• The twelve months start when the owner claims the site.
• The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or moved to another business. It does not cover the cost of buying a domain name.
• When the twelve months end, the site stays live on the free plan. Nothing is charged unless the owner chooses to pay.

Claiming the prize

We contact each winner through the phone number or email on its public Google listing. To accept, the owner claims the site with the one-time code sent to the phone number on the listing. If a winner has not claimed within seven days of our first message, the prize may go to the next business on our shortlist.

Announcing winners

We announce a winner only after the owner has claimed the site and agreed to be named. With that agreement, we may show the business's name, city and website in our posts.

Nominations and your data

Nominators do not receive a prize; the business does. We use nomination comments only to run the giveaway. See our privacy page for how we handle data.

The platforms

This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or run by Instagram, Meta, LinkedIn, Google or any other platform where it is posted. Anyone taking part releases those platforms from any responsibility for it.

Changes

We may change or end the giveaway at any time by updating this page. Changes do not affect a round that has already closed.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of West Bengal have jurisdiction.
